Polish guitarist Łukasz Kuropaczewski stunned Cleveland audiences with a 2014 debut full of intensity, energy and emotion. He now returns with Polish accordionist Maciej Frąckiewicz in an eclectic program that will redefine the boundaries of chamber music!

Cleveland, OH – The Cleveland Classic Guitar Society presents Polish guitarist Lukasz Kuropaczewski in his Cleveland debut on October 18, 2014.

Lukasz Kuropaczewski is one of the most gifted and natural guitarists in the world and infuses his concerts with immense intensity and emotion. He is well on his way to becoming a major figure on the worldwide classical music scene. 

Kuropaczewski (Poland) has recorded six CDs to date and performed solo recitals in the world’s most prestigious halls, including London’s Royal Festival Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Warsaw’s National Philharmonic Hall, Tshaikovsky Hall in Moscow and Carnegie Hall in New York. He is on the faculty of the Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland.

The Nürnberger Zeitung wrote, “Kuropaczewski performed with such passion and 
technical perfection that the audience could only fall in love with him.” 

The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society’s International Series is presented with support from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, the Ohio Arts Council, and the National Endowment of the Arts. 

Other highlights of the six concerts of the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society’s 2014-2015 International Series include 3 Cleveland debuts and the first appearance of Grammy-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet in over a decade. This season’s performers come from Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Bosnia, and the U.S.

In addition, the CCGS’ educational outreach initiative offers ongoing music classes to 100 students in Cleveland and Akron.
