Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski
Gene Golomb at the 2011 Kosciuszko/Polish Constitution Day Wreath Laying Ceremony
The Memorial Plaque honoring Casimir Pulaski was dedicated on October 11, 1933 and was originally housed at the Hudson Branch Library. When the Hudson Branch Library closed, the plaque was temporarily put in storage but later moved to its present location at the Hall of Justice. The inscription reads:

Saint Stanislaus Kostka 2011 Polish Arts Festival
The beautiful mural that spans the sanctuary dome at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church is the work of Buffalo artist Joseph Mazur. It depicts 18 saints, kings, and beatified holy ones who figure prominently in the history of Catholicism in Poland and Eastern Europe.
"Polish Heroes: Those Who Rescued Jews"
Polish Heritage Society of Rochester, Nazareth College and the Jewish Federation of Rochester bring you the exhibit; Polish Heroes: Those who Rescued Jews. This exhibit is set to be displayed at Nazareth College beginning January 23, 2012.

The Monroe County Hall of Justice in Rochester, New York, contains two memorials that are of special importance to our community. One is a bust of honoring Thaddeus Kosciusko and the other Casimir Pulaski:
Both monuments are located in the lobby of the Monroe County Hall of Justice located on Court Street and War Memorial Square in downtown Rochester, New York.
Polka Bandstand
For over thirty years, Polka Bandstand has delighted polka enthusiasts not only around the Rochester area, but around the world with the best polka music and aspects of Polish culture, from 10 a.m. to noon each Saturday on WGMC/Jazz 901 and online at www.jazz901.org.
The hosts of Polka Bandstand are Ray Serafin and Al Melitus

Eddie Zawadzki will be doing a lecture and book signing on Sunday, February 26th at St. Stanislaus Kostyka Church in Rochester, N.Y. after mass. The lecture will be on the rich history of the Poles in North America and how much Polish culture contributed to our society. Eddie's book, "Poles in the New World", is available in both English and Polish!
